JKPSC invites online applications from the permanent residents for jobs in J&K State for appearing in the Competitive examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Range Officers Gradc-I Forest in the J&K Forest Department (Territorial) in accordance with the rules laid down vide SR0 No.359 dated 24.07.1970 and SRO 432 dated 28.12.2007 read with J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005. The details of syllabus and scheme of examination is given in Annexure "A” to this notification.

POST: Range Officer Grade – I Forest
TOTAL - 44 (OM – 25, RBA – 09, SC – 03, ST – 05, ALC - 02 )
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4280
Eligibility conditions: -
Qualification:- B.Sc. Forestry or its equivalent from any University recognized by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research
However, the following degrees are not equivalent to the B.Sc. Forestry Degree as determined by the Equivalence Committee of J&K Forest Department constituted vide Government Order No. 98-FST of 2016

1. B.Sc with Botany as one of the subjects;
2. B.Sc with Forestry as one of the subjects;
3. B.Sc. Agriculture;
4. B.V.Sc. and A.H;
5. B.E Chemical Engineering.

d. Category certificate, if any, issued under SRO 294 of 2005 dated 21.10.2005 duly revalidated and valid on the last date of receipt of Application Form.
e. Certificate regarding holding of a civil post in the State as required under rules;
f. Physical fitness certificate certifying the physical fitness of the candidate alongwith height and chest measurement from Chief Medical Officer concerned.
Note: In-service candidates will have to submit the photocopy of online application form after certificate from the Head of Office recorded in the format given at the end of the online application form.

How to Apply:
1. Candidates are required to apply online through the website of the Commission i.e http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.
2. Candidates are first required to go to the JKPSC website www.jkpsc.nic.in and click on the link “One Time Registration” or click on Login menu if you have already created your profile with the JK PSC. Candidates can pay the requisite fee through online mode only in the "SUBMITTED APPLICATIONS" menu in your account.
3. After successful payment of the fee, Hard copy of the Online Application form (having fee payment details) along with other requisite documents are to be submitted in the office of the Commission at Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar Jammu/ Solina Srinagar or through portal service in registered cover provided the said service is invoked 04 days before the cut-off dates fixed for the purpose (personal delivery).
4. Please note that the above procedure is the only valid procedure for applying. No other mode of application or incomplete steps would be accepted and such applications would be rejected.
