JKPSC Jobs in J&K Forest Department

JKPSC invites applications through online mode from the permanent residents for jobs in Jammu & Kashmir State for appearing in the competitive examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forests in the J&K Forest Gazetted Service in accordance with the rules laid down vide SRO No.359 dated 24.07.1970 and SRO 432 dated 28.12.2007 read with J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005. The details of syllabus and scheme of examination is given in the notification. The category-wise break-up of the vacancies  and other details are given below:

a) Date of commencement for submission of online application = 28th April, 2017
b) Last date for submission of online application = 28th June, 2017
c) Last date for depositing of fee through bank challan = 30th June, 2017
d) Last date for receipt of Hard Copy alongwith relevant certificates including copy of Receipt of fee/ Bank Challan = 30th June, 2017

for filing up of the online application forms for the posts of Assistant Conservator of Forests in the J&K Forest Gazetted Service notified vide this office Notification No. PSC/ Exam/ 2017/ 23 dated: 24.04.2017 is hereby
extended upto 28.06.2017 and the last date for deposition of fee through challan is 30.06.2017. However the cut of date for determining the eligibility shall remain unchanged.

The amount of fee payable shall include Rs.5/- as service charges for the J&K Bank
Eligibility conditions: -
A. Qualification:-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, in Science or engineering, of a recognized University with at least one of the following subjects: -
i. Agriculture,
ii. Botany,
iii. Chemistry,
iv. Computer Applications/Computer Sciences,
v. Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/
Electronics/ Mechanical),
vi. Environmental Science,
vii. Forestry,
viii. Geology,
ix. Horticulture,
x. Mathematics,
xi. Physics,
xii. Statistics,
xiii. Veterinary Science, and
xiv. Zoology

B. Age Limit: Age as on _1st January 2017:
Minimum = 18 Years
Maximum = 40 Years
For candidates belonging to:
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ = 43 Years
Resident of Backward Area/Social Caste/
Actual Line of Control

C. Physical Standard:-
The candidate should possess the following standards of physical fitness:-
i. Height
Males: 163 Cm, Females: 150 Cm
ii. Chest girth (Fully expanded) 
Males: 84 Cm, Females: 79 Cm
iii. Chest Expansion 
Males: 05 Cm, Females: 05 Cm
iv. Physical fitness
(The physical fitness certificate with above standards should be obtained from Chief Medical Officer concerned.)
For candidates belonging to Leh and Kargil the minimum standards of height are 152 Cm and 145 Cm for Male and Female candidates respectively.

Note: If the Commission considers that the number of Application Forms received for admission is unduly large it may direct the candidates to appear in a Preliminary Objective Type Test for shortlisting the candidates for Main Examination in accordance with J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2005 as per syllabus given in Annexure “A”.

D. Documents to be attached with the photocopy of online application form:-
a. Matriculate or Secondary School certificate as proof of date of birth;
b. Educational qualification certificate viz. Provisional Degree Certificate/ Degree Certificate issued by the concerned University;
c. Permanent Resident Certificate;
d. Category certificate, if any, issued under SRO 294 of 2005 dated 21.10.2005 duly revalidated and valid on the last date of receipt of Application Form.
e. Certificate regarding holding of a civil post in the State as required under rules;
f. Physical fitness certificate certifying the physical fitness of the candidate alongwith height and chest measurement from Chief Medical Officer concerned.
Note: In-service candidates will have to submit the photocopy of online application form after certificate from the Head of Office recorded in the format given at the end of the online application form.
How to Apply:
1.Candidates are required to apply online through the website (www.jkpsc.nic.in) of the Commission. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted.
2. On successful submission of the online application, a window will open with a link to print e-challan and application form.
3. The candidate should take a printout of the fee payment challan and can deposit fees in any of the branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in the designated account number only printed on the e-challan. A counterfoil copy of the application fee payment e-challan duly authenticated by the bank with (a) branch name & code no and (c) date of deposit filled by the branch official shall be enclosed with the hard copy to be submitted in the office of the Commission alongwith other requisite documents as and when demanded by the Commission.
